What a Relief!

I got some releiving news from home today. My cousin is now out of the hospital! My mom said that they scoped her and found a piece of meat lodged in her esophagus and they had to get it out. That is why she couldn't keep anything down.

You may be puzzled here. How can someone not be able to feel any pain with that problem? My cousin is mentally disabled. She can't communicate with us like a normal person. Her caretakers have to read her body language, facial expressions, and she does some gestures to what she wants and doesn't want. But we all love and care for her unconditionally, and she knows it and loves us back.

Internship, Etc.

Here I am, still sick with the flu and kinda tired. Beahr Ridge Arabians had a silent horse auction on Sunday, and didn't sell any horses. But on the brighter side, about 50 people braved the weather to come and see the clinic and horses. We have now gotten one of the horses sold, whom nobody really thought would sell, and sold a couple of horses before the auction so that is kinda good. I got very little sleep over the weekend, since I still had to work at McDonalds until late and had to beat the snowy weather to get to the barn. I ended up staying at Comfort Inn Suites and had a two-bedroom suite all to myself. Needless to say, I got a lot of sleep that night!!

Work is still really hectic and I ended up leaving early because I started vomiting. My coworkers told me I shouldn't have come in at all, but my manager pissed me off earier, so I went in anyway. One of the closers is living with the married managers so she is mainly closing for me, and I must say she is a terrible closer, but if they want her to close instead of me, then so be it.

Lent is almost over and I have tried to be good this year, but I already ate meat on a Friday, and my promise to read the bible and workout everyday has been broken several times. Oh well, there is always next year!! I will be going home on Saturday and am very excited to see my family again!!

Some bad news that I recently found out, my cousin is in the hospital for the flu and dehydration. She is mentally handicapped, and her weight has dropped. Yikes huh? She is normally skinny because even though she eats a lot, she is also very active despite her physical and mental setbacks. I hope everyone who reads this will keep her in their prayers!
