My My How the Time Does Fly!!

School, work, sleep, school, work, sleep. It seems like a never ending cycle. Today I met with some people in the Health Services department and got some of my questions answered. Although I will miss being in the barn constantly, I am really excited to start the Paramedic Program. The internship is not a possibility right now unfortunately, but Rhonda, one of my teachers who helped me get out of the mess that I made, told me to find one for spring instead. So I will take classes at Kirkwood in the Health Science department to get my prereqs out of the way as well as doing my internship.

Work has been going well. I had a slight problem on Tuesday. I checked the "time off calendar" and noticed that I didn't have Thanksgiving break off eveen though I had asked for it months in advance. So I went in to talk to the manager in charge of the scheduling and we got it fixed and I asked for Christmas break off as well. Well, speaking of work, I better go get ready!

A Night Off- My Mom is Trying this- why Not?

Hey, everybody! My mom emailed me her blog a couple of weeks ago and I thought this would be a good idea to share what I go through every now and then. So this is, obviously my first blog. I work at McDonalds and it is a very stressful job that pays really crappy. I am also currently attending Kirkwood and am in the Horse Science department and am trying to finish it much to my parent's dismay. After I am done with the Horse Program, I am planning on going into health services. i would really like to get a job that is horse related, but my parents told me to take something else to fall back on. I would really like to become a paramedic so I don't have to sit at a desk all the time and working with horses and being a paramedic will be something new every day. You never know what is going to come next and stay active.

Well, I think I will end my first blog with what I have so I can get adjusted. I will try to post as often as I can, but my days are pretty hectic with work, classes, and trying to find an internship in the area.
